🎬 Stop Animation Workshop Create. Script. Animate. Bring Your Ideas to Life. Lights. Camera. Animation! At ConnectEd & Inspired, our Stop Animation Workshop is a hands-on, creativity-packed experience where campers turn imagination into movies. Using LEGO® bricks, Play-Doh® modeling compound, and other creative materials, students will explore the art and science behind stop motion animation. Over four exciting days, participants will: 🎬 Create an original story concept ✍️ Write a short script 🎭 Design and sculpt characters using Play-Doh® 🏗 Build custom scene sets using LEGO® bricks and mixed materials 📸 Learn the basics of stop animation techniques 🎞 Capture and edit their own animated short film Campers will discover: ✔ Storyboarding fundamentals ✔ Character development ✔ Scene composition and lighting basics ✔ Frame-by-frame animation techniques ✔ Creative collaboration ✔ Film presentation skills By the end of the workshop, each group will premiere their animated creation in a Mini Film Showcase! From sculpting creatures to creating electrifying glow art, this week is packed with colorful fun! 🎨⚡ 🗓 Weekly Creative Line-Up: 🔵 Monday – Clay Creation Sculpt your very own Pokémon-inspired creature or Poké Ball using real clay! Add textures, expressions, and personality! 🔥🌊🌿 (Kiln-fired and ready for pickup within three weeks!) 🎨 Tuesday – Pop Art Picture Create a bold pop-art portrait of your favorite Pokémon-inspired character using acrylics and vibrant backgrounds! 🌈✨ 🟢 Wednesday – Mosaic Masterpiece Design a mosaic featuring lightning bolts ⚡, elemental symbols 🔥💧🌱, or a Poké Ball pattern! 🌟 Thursday – GLOW Party Finale! Black lights + neon paint = EPIC finale! 🎉 Campers will create glowing artwork and celebrate the week with music, laughter, and lots of color! 💡🎨 ☀️ About Our Summer Program ☀️ Our summer programming provides youth ages 5–12 (Teen Programs available for ages 10–17) the opportunity to explore the Arts & Sciences in a safe, upbeat, and air-conditioned environment! ❄️🎨🔬 ✨ This year is ALL-NEW! We are offering dozens of brand-new projects and activities we have never offered before! 🎨 Campers explore a variety of mediums including: Clay • Wood • Cardboard • Mosaics • Watercolors • Acrylic Paint • Ceramics • Craft Materials & more! 👩‍🎨 This is a drop-off program for children 5+. Step-by-step instruction ensures children learn to complete projects independently while building confidence and creativity! 🥨 Please send your child with a snack and water bottle (we have a refill station!). 📝 Once per week at drop-off, parents/guardians complete an emergency contact form. This form is available in our FAQs online if you'd like to print it in advance. 👯‍♀️ Signing up with friends?
