Girl Scouts: Outdoor Art Adventures!

Explore art in the outdoors through a variety of activities, projects, and challenges.  Each day, the girls will complete another aspect of their badge requirements as follows: 

Monday- watercolor, shadowing, color wheel, and creation using materials found in nature

Tuesday - explores a STEM focus where girls will create tools to measure things in nature (sundial, windcatcher, etc.)

Wednesday - the girls will search for items found in nature while on a scavenger hunt hike followed by clay impressions that they will create and glaze

Thursday - create a nature journal and learn to use descriptive writing and illustration to capture moments in nature; reference local nature journaling authors and explore variance in techniques

Friday - the girls will come together to create a mini-play using available resources to create a backdrop, costume, and sound they will particpate both in the creation of the set as well as the acting.…
