Adult Drawing Class - Winter Session

Service Description

This class is meant to explore the art of drawing from basics to complex compositions and caters to artists at the beginner and intermediate levels. Beginning with drawing three-dimensional shapes such as spheres and cubes and ending with the ability to draw still-life and landscapes. Each class will build upon previously learned skills as artists explore various techniques and perspectives throughout their class experience. We will explore drawing through the use of multiple mediums, from graphite pencils and charcoal to oil pastel and colored pencils. Artists are encouraged to bring personal items for still-life and reference pictures for landscape drawings but may use objects from the classroom and provide references if they prefer. This class is open to young adults (14+) and adults who desire to expand their drawing skills and build a strong foundation. Each participant will receive appropriate guidance based on where they are in the drawing process. Classes are held on Thursdays throughout the 8-week session. All Materials are included. It is recommended that each participant has a personal sketchbook and graphite pencil set with a quality eraser for personal practice outside of class.
